Airline Contract and Tender Management Automation Software
Summary
An aviation cost-management software provider wanted to enhance its route-profitability and direct-operating-cost solution with a Contract and Tender Management module. INNERLUXES developed and helped release the module, giving airlines full visibility of supplier contracts, the ability to invite fuel-purchase tenders, automated rate feeds, contract versioning, and renegotiation alerts.
About the Client
The Client is a well-established software provider and consultancy with a portfolio of tailor-made cost-saving solutions for the international aviation industry. Its core product — a route-profitability and direct-operating-cost management solution — helps airlines streamline and automate processes through centralized contract management and automated invoice checking.
The Challenge
The Client decided to improve its profitability and direct-operating-cost management solution by implementing a Contract and Tender Management module. The module had to assist in creating various contracts as well as inviting tenders for fuel purchase.
The Solution
INNERLUXES's custom software team joined the project and helped release it to the public. The developed module gives users full visibility of supplier contracts, both current and historical, and reflects the typical structure of contracts for all direct-operating-cost-related services.
The module allows copying contracts from one airport to others (for example, within the same country), uploading rates for en-route charges from Eurocontrol, and uploading fuel market prices from PLATTS and exchange rates from financial institutions.
Updates to contracts are stored as separate contract versions with a validity period. Historical contract data is retained within the system to enable analyses and evaluations of past periods, and the solution alerts contract managers in time about necessary renegotiations of expiring agreements.
The Results
- The Client received a comprehensive Contract and Tender Management module that expanded the capabilities and enhanced the value of its core software product.
- The module met all the requirements and helped the Client widen its service offering.
