BI Solution for a Diagnostic Imaging Provider Serving 800+ Facilities

About Our Client

The end Client is a US company providing mobile X-ray, ultrasound, echocardiogram, EKG, and bone-density testing services to 800+ facilities.

Challenge

The end Client needed reports and dashboards to comprehensively analyze its business performance, improve its processes, and ultimately enhance the customer experience. An additional challenge was ensuring the reporting met the requirements of the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

Solution

INNERLUXES's BI team began by building a data warehouse on Microsoft SQL Server, then delivered ETL from scratch (loading available historical data) followed by incremental ETL — using Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services for both modes. Two analytical cubes (6- and 12-dimensional) were created with Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services, and Kyubit BI was selected for the user interface. Finally, the team built reports and dashboards meeting both the Client's needs and HHS requirements:

• Utilization report and dashboard.
• Clinical outcome report and dashboard.
• Financial report.
• Order payments dashboard.

Results

With the implemented reporting, the Client can track the efficiency of the services it provides, streamlining operations and optimizing business processes. As a result, response time is faster, unproductive time is reduced, and end clients benefit from an enhanced customer experience. The UI component was also built into the Client's practice management system to become an integral part of it.
