Clinic Map Integration to Help Find Medical Organizations in Several Clicks

Summary

A medical treatment and fitness service provider wanted to integrate a map of all available clinics into its existing solution to present medical organizations and their information conveniently, with a rating system to simplify the search. INNERLUXES built a separate ASP.NET MVC clinic-map site with an administration area and a read-only public map, embedded into the master site via an iFrame.

About the Client

The Client is a European service provider in medical treatment and fitness. Its core services are based on online websites that simplify the end-user experience of finding suitable medical organizations and ordering their services.

The Challenge

The company came to INNERLUXES to integrate a map of all available clinics into its existing solution. The map had to present the variety of medical organizations and information about them in a convenient way, and the Client also planned a rating system to simplify the search.

The Solution

INNERLUXES created a separate website based on ASP.NET MVC. The site was designed using ASP.NET membership, with users and roles stored in the database. In administration mode, the website offers many pages to control the content and is accessible only after a user passes authorization. A separate page (Controller/Action/View) was created for integration: it automatically authorizes all users as visitors and shows only the useful area of the map (no headers, footers, or navigation controls) in read-only mode. Integration was done via an iFrame in the master site hosting the map.

The Results

• All parts of the map site — administration and user view — and the integration were successfully implemented and completed on time.
• The project is in active use, and the Client continues to request new features and improvements, as the idea proved very good and the implementation is popular with end users.
