A Digital Health Platform Was Needed for Obesity Care

The challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and advancements in digital health technologies prompted the Client to develop a medical platform for patients with obesity and the healthcare practitioners working in this field.

The Client's team came up with a startup idea: a mobile platform that helps patients maintain healthy eating habits, prepare for and recover from bariatric surgery, and provides healthcare practitioners with real-time data about their patients' progress.

The Client decided to start with MVP development to build up the user base and get feedback early on, so it was looking for a vendor proficient in medical software development.

A HIPAA-Compliant, Microservices MVP With AI Suggestions

    • Instant messaging to reach assigned patients with treatment recommendations.
  • A web admin panel for platform management.
  • A shared back end and central data storage for platform data (for example, ePHI, chat records, and personalized patient recommendations).
  • An AI engine for smart suggestions (for example, personalized diet tips).

When development and stabilization were complete, INNERLUXES deployed the fully functional MVP to the AWS cloud and provided the Client with the complete software documentation needed for further MVP evolution (for example, developing additional web apps and integrating the platform with the EMR systems of partnering health providers).
