INNERLUXES enhanced a multi-platform learning management system by optimizing APIs, automating certificate generation, and leveraging Salesforce to centralize sales data, automate reporting, and streamline operations across Litmos, Ecwid, and Eventbrite.

Client Overview

The Client is a healthcare eLearning platform provider delivering explicit, unbiased instruction backed by seasoned management, industry experts, and a credentialed advisory board. The Client sought to reduce manual processes, improve reporting accuracy, and scale enrollment capacity — which required seamless data synchronization between Litmos, Ecwid, and Eventbrite and centralized data management in Salesforce. Integrating these platforms with Salesforce created a centralized hub for seamless data synchronization, enhanced reporting, and a smooth, scalable learner experience.

The Project

INNERLUXES streamlined and automated the Client's technology stack with Salesforce as the foundation for seamless operations and accurate data synchronization:

• ScormCloud API enhancements: analyzed and improved the existing API connection to ScormCloud, enabling automated retrieval of completed courses; modified certificate generation to store PDFs by student ID; and implemented email notifications with secure, expiring download links.
• Ecwid and Salesforce integration: reviewed the current integration to ensure Ecwid order details synced accurately to Salesforce and Litmos, refining the webhook API and checkout workflows to improve data consistency and eliminate manual intervention.
• Litmos API optimization: automated CE/CME credit awarding based on survey submissions and course completions, enabling real-time tracking of learner progress and accurate credentialing.
• Eventbrite Zapier automation: evaluated and expanded existing Zapier workflows to streamline communication between Eventbrite and Ecwid, ensuring new course purchases and enrollments synced without errors.
• Salesforce reporting automation: configured Salesforce to generate and schedule reports for opportunities, sales, and course completions, automating insights delivery and reducing manual reporting.

The Process

With a framework supporting the required multi-system architecture and automated workflows, critical functions like enrollment tracking, credential validation, and role-based access became easier to implement and maintain. MySQL ensured data integrity and optimized performance through advanced indexing and querying, supporting reliable analytics, while PHP and Python 2.7 provided a secure, scalable open-source development and deployment solution. SVN version control enabled seamless collaboration across global development teams, ensuring consistent code quality and dependable updates throughout the project lifecycle.
