Convenient and Secure Mobile Banking Apps for a Private Bank
About Our Client
The Client is an Azerbaijan-based private bank.
Challenge
To keep up with the pace of innovation and meet customer expectations, the Client had been investing in mobile for several years. It had previously released an iOS app with a range of mobile banking features, but later decided to take that functionality further. Aiming to reach a wider audience this time, the Client chose to build two apps — for iOS and Android — and, driven to make them user-centric with tailored dashboards, set out to find a vendor offering both Android and iOS application development.
Solution
The Client ran a tender for mobile banking app development, which INNERLUXES entered. Based on our mobile banking experience, the Client started with a test task — building an Android version of an existing iOS loyalty-card app. After completing it successfully, INNERLUXES was officially selected to develop the Client's iOS and Android apps.
Over the first month, INNERLUXES's business analysts produced a detailed specification for both apps, and the UI team created the application designs. The iOS and Android teams then proceeded to development, and within several months completed and tested both apps. The applications offer an expanded set of highly secure features expected of modern mobile banking:
- Personal account management (balance and bank statements).
- Payments (bill pay, one-click payments, scheduled auto-payments).
- Money transfer (card to card, account to account).
- Online loan repayment and deposit top-ups.
- Multicurrency converter and up-to-date currency rates.
- News and special offers from the bank.
- Contact center (by phone and chat).
- Push notifications (news and card operations).
At the Client's request, both apps display personalized information for every user — current balance, latest operations, and upcoming auto-scheduled payments. Each app also includes three handy home-screen widgets for a multicurrency converter, latest operations, and the bank's news. The applications comply with the country's national e-identification system for mobile services and operate at a high security level.
Results
Staying on budget and on schedule, INNERLUXES delivered the full development of the apps — from business analysis to release on the App Store and Google Play. The Client was satisfied with the result and looked forward to further projects.
