The Client

The Client is a customer-first provider of guest communication and task management business solutions, delivered through intelligent analytics and role-based access. The Client needed a robust application to manage its administrative needs and improve communication with guests — requiring multi-tenant architecture, super-admin features, guest management tools, and role-based access control, all capable of integrating with Oracle databases. The objective was an intelligent analytics platform that streamlines guest-related and organizational operations.

The Project

INNERLUXES used reliable, capable tools to fulfil the Client's requirements:

• CakePHP framework: a PHP framework providing structure and efficiency, with a built-in Access Control List (ACL) for role and permission management, enabling rapid development while ensuring the multi-tenant environment's security and scalability.
• MySQL database: the primary database server for the architecture, with relational capabilities and optimized indexing and querying that ensure easy analytics access and data integrity.
• Linux OS: a cost-effective, secure, and stable hosting environment.
• Apache 2.x web server: handles HTTP requests and serves the application's webpages.
• PHP 5.3.x: a server-side scripting language crucial to building the application's dynamic features and ensuring smooth server–front-end interaction.
• SVN version control: helps the development team track code changes, strengthen collaboration, and manage updates.

Together, the Apache, PHP, and Linux stack provided a comprehensive open-source solution for the project's web application development and hosting, while the framework's support for multi-tenant architecture and role-based access control made granular, pivotal functions easier to implement.
