Getting Started: Step-by-Step Setup Guide
Getting started is simpler than you think. Here’s how to go from zero to live charts inside your Dynamics 365 CRM — step by step, without involving your IT team.
Step 1 — Import the Solution
Import the solution into your MS Dynamics CRM organization. This is a one-time setup that takes just a few minutes. Once done, you’re ready to build your first chart before your next coffee break.
Step 2 — Add Web Resource
Go to any dashboard or entity form where you want your chart to appear. Add the web resource (wbtcb.html) to your chosen spot and save. You’ll see a “NO DATA” placeholder — exactly where it should be.
Step 3 — Build Your Query
Hit the menu button, then press Add. A query builder window will open. Select your entity type, pick attributes, set conditions, and use AND/OR logic to combine them. Save — and edit or delete the query anytime.
Step 4 — Design Your Chart
Move to the chart builder. Choose your chart type, set visual parameters, and map your query data to the chart fields. You control chart type, UI settings, data mapping, and predefined templates. Hit save — your chart is live.
Step 5 — Manage & Iterate
Back on the main page, your chart is ready. Edit the design, update the query, or delete it entirely whenever your needs change. No tickets. No waiting. No extra cost per change.
